I have an application the requires initiating an SMS dialog with an SMS short code number and then sending and receiving messages to the SMS Short code number. Is this application supported through Telnyx?
Hey! Good question. I know the abilities around short codes tend to be less well known. I want to make sure I understand are you,
1) Sending to and receiving from another entities short code number via your own long code or toll free number? Flow: My number (not a short code) to/from Entity XYZ Short code
2) Sending to and receiving from your own short code number? Flow: My short code to/from Entity XYZ (not a short code)
If #1 then yes you can send to and receive from another entities short code in any area which inbound and outbound messaging are possible of which we have many. Is there any particular country you are interested in?
If #2 the short code procurement process is costly and takes a lot of time and is typically used when there is a need to send millions of messages per day. Does that describe you?
