Number Blocking for Messaging

Our organization uses Telnyx for our VOIP SMS text messaging.

Does Telnyx have the ability to block an individual external number from sending text messages to our Telnyx number? If so could you please advise on how to accomplish this task?

Hi! Appreciate you bringing this to us :). The easiest way to block a number from sending messages to you is to reply with the word "STOP" to the number you would like to block. Then messages from that number will be blocked at the carrier level. If you want to receive messages from the blocked number again then you can send the word "START". More info here. Hopefully that helps and makes sense. Please let me know if I can clarify any further.
